Before we even look at the camera, we need to know what we are looking to make, what the purpose of the video is and where it is going to be used, amongst other things. So early on we will work closely with you, to help identify what you are looking to get out of the video, and how we can best achieve those goals. Building a concept and plan for the project along the way.
Pre-production is the most important stage, we need to plan everything we are doing out so when it comes to actually shooting, we are ready for anything and everything that might happen. That is why we look to get as much info as possible, planning who we need, what we need, where we are shooting, the shots we need, how it will all come together and make sure we have accounted for possible issues.
This is where the magic happens, we take all the planning and preparation from the past weeks or months and actually turn it into beautiful footage. You can be on set with us or leave us to it. It could be a one-man band for smaller shoots or an entire team of people for larger shoots, it is all scaled to your needs.
This is where most of the time on the project generally goes. You could spend just a few hours to hundreds of hours on editing a single video, depending on a variety of factors. It isn’t just stitching some clips together, but colour correcting and grading, finding the right music, pacing, sound design and graphics all require their own care and attention and frequent reviewing of the video to make sure it is the best it can be.
